Shanghai Bund

Shanghai Bund
The Bund is located in the downtown of Shanghai and stretches 1.5 kilometers. On the east is Huangpu River, on the west is various western-style buildings which also called the World Expo of architectures. It is a must-see scenic spot in Shanghai.

Let’s go back to the history of The Bund to know more about it. In 1845, British and France colonists set up their concessions in The Bund respectively. At that time, since many foreign countries built their banks, therefore, The Bund was foreign trade center, also called “The oriental Wall street”. In the past 100 years, architects from different countries designed and built lots of buildings with different styles on a relatively small area of The Bund, therefore, that is why the architectural complex is called the World Expo of architectures. Most of buildings had been redecorated again and again,

Chances are that you may find other several scenic spots just a few blocks away from The Bund, such as Nanjing Road and People’s Square. Remember to take your camera and take some pictures, especially at night.
